A Blissful Experience at Bliss Yoga Manila

Before I go on with my post, allow me to thank Isabel Dulay and Roland Dela Cruz of Bliss Yoga Manila for giving me this blissful experience. A double thumbs up for the two of you.

Now, let me go back to my review of Bliss Yoga Manila. Since 2010 started, I really am head to toe stressed out because of my ever demanding job as a PR and Events person. I swear I really even do not have time to have a decent facial or mani-pedi in two months. This is due to my Makeup workshop caravan that I did in all the branches of the company I am working at. This means having to travel each and every week of the month, carrying the same props and doing the same module in different parts of the Philippines all over again. Now that the caravan is over, I have the luxury of time to do the things that I’ve been wanting to. And this includes yoga.

I’ve been dying to get back into practice for almost a year now. I used to do Prenatal Yoga in Yogamanila when I was still pregnant with my daughter, Akisha. Since I’ve given birth and got back to work, I was not able to do yoga again. Until I learned about Bliss Yoga Manila through one of my friends. I inquired onsite last year but was not able to enroll again before of conflicts with my schedule. Then I followed Bliss Yoga Manila in Facebook. One day, as I realize that my March schedule is not too toxic, I thought of doing a review of Bliss Yoga Manila here in blog. I told myself I have to venture into doing wellness reviews together with my beauty products reviews.

I emailed Roland Dela Cruz, the man undersigned in every Bliss Yoga newsletter I am receiving. I told I wish to do a review of their studio.Roland is very nice and accommodating. He responded to my email promptly and referred me to their Marketing Manager, Isabel Dulay. Isabel called my office one time but I was on leave. She left her number and I immediately texted her when I got it, She is too sweet and accommodating as well. She invited me for a tour of the studio and let me join her Heated Flow class.

Here are some pics of Bliss Yoga Manila:

This is one of their studios. They use this if there are many participants in a class.

This one is on the 2nd floor. It is where they hold their Heated Flow classes. When I checked out the room, they are already preheating it for the 5:30 session. It’s like a sauna which made it more inviting to me as I am a big fan of saunas and steam baths.

They also have posh and clean shower rooms. Lockers are also provided.

What’s nice is that they also have a café adjoining their reception area which serves coffee, some cookies and other healthy stuff. Plus, the café area is a wifi hotspot so you can surf the net while waiting for your class to start. This gets another thumbs up for working people like me.

They also sell some yoga merchandise. They have Bliss Yoga water bottles, yoga outfits, etc. I wanna get one of those cute water bottles!

Now let me go to the Heated Flow class. Heated flow class was described in their flyer as a challenging 75 minute vinyasa flow class practiced in a heated room. The heat warms the body’s muscles and joints, which allows for maximum stretching and strengthening with a reduced rate of injury.

I think it really burns a lot of calories because of the heat. It also detoxifies the body very well.

Throughout the session, I was really sweating a lot. I feel then that I’ve been detoxifying myself effectively. The class is open to all levels. Isabel carefully checks on each student on the poses to see if we are doing it right or if the poses are too much for our level. I must admit that I was only able to do perhaps 80% of the poses because some are really hard for me!

After the class, I must admit that it felt really really good! As if I am recharged and rejuvenated. As if I instantly lose some pounds. I should be doing this more often.

Bliss Yoga Manila also offers Vinyasa Flow, Gentle Flow, Power Yoga, Bhakti Urban Flow, Yoga Fundamentals, Ashtanga and even Mat Pilates!

Their studio is located at 28F Trident Tower 312 Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. Makati City. (just near RCBC Tower). For more info, you may check out their website at www.blissyogamanila.com or call them at 7531954.
