Singapore Series: Sentosa Waterfront Station

We took the Sentosa Express from Vivo City. If you have an EZ link card, you can also use it in Sentosa Express. If you do not have one, you can purchase a Sentosa Express Pass at SGD 2. This is inclusive of unlimited Sentosa Express ride for the day. Sentosa Express is a monorail train. It is shorter and smaller than the usual MRT in Singapore. It has 4 stations: Sentosa (the pick up point in Vivo City), Waterfront where Casino, Universal Studios and Candylicious are located), Imbiah (towards Imbiah lookout, viewing deck) and  Beach Station (where Siloso and Palawan Beaches are located.)

First stop: Waterfront Station

Upon arriving at the Waterfront Station, I felt as if I am transported into wonderland. The child in me was instantly enlivened!

 Candylicious galore!

This is Akisha's favorite - Kisses! Giant Kisses!

Merlion, colorful version

 CHOCOLATE SYRUPPPPPP!

and CHOCOLATE BARRRR!

Just a few steps from Candylicious is the latest attraction in Singapore - Universal Studios. Entrance fee is at SGD 72 on a weekend. From March 25, 2011, their night pass at SGD 5 is back!

Make sure you purchase tickets ahead of time especially if you are visiting USS on a weekend. Tickets are selling like hotcakes!

Within Resort World, there are also restaurants, bars, casino and luxury shops. We walked towards Hotel Michael on our way to Festive Walk.

This is where the royalties go for some fun - Casino. Did you know that the Singapore government discourages PR's to gamble and have vices. As such, PR's need to pay about SGD 100 before they can enter a Casino. Tourists are not included in this rule.

The entrance to Hotel Michael made me feel I am one of the casts of Star Wars. The lights, the music is so sci-fi.

There are shops on the way to Festive Walk, including Jimmy Choo.

Next station: Imbiah Station
